It is my genuine pleasure to recommend NavigAidants to any families going through the difficult process of navigating care for their loved ones. I am the American next of kin of a 79 year old Canadian senior based in Montreal with a complicated social situation and no family in Canada. I have come into contact with many individuals and groups while trying to navigate the process of elderly care and I find that NavigAidants and Christine in particular stands out among them as a wonderful example of an empathetic, culturally sensitive, and effective social worker.
I immediately felt comfortable knowing that this McGill alumni had the appropriate experience and wealth of knowledge to ease our anxiety and provide guidance on issues of power of attorney, placement, finances, and other areas of elderly care. She also had a determination and a positive attitude towards improving the quality of life of my loved one. She helped us navigate a public placement process for my senior. Her advice and guidance has proven to be valuable in the months and years to come. We couldn't have been grateful for her guidance and expert input especially while navigating this process from the US with little knowledge of Canadian system!

Christine is an honest and sweet person in addition to being a highly qualified social worker. She helped get immediate results for our mom during a very difficult time. In just a few weeks, she managed to get through to our local clsc in order to get an evaluation and assessment done which my sister and I were unable to achieve after months of calls and follow Ups. She offered herself as a hands on coordinator on all levels and remains available to continue if and when things change. Dementia and Alzheimer’s are incredibly difficult diseases to live with and care for in any family situation, Christine is clearly experienced, well versed, connected and took a huge load off our shoulders when it was needed most, all at a very fair cost. We can’t say enough about how instrumental she was with navigating through our stressed medical system with never-ending wait lists.

“My husband has Parkinson's Disease, and has reached the point where I need to reach out and get some help to care for him (and myself!) We contacted Christine Baldy to help us "navigate" the health and social services system in Quebec. We live in the province, but have never had to deal with the CLSC, and didn't know much about getting services from them. Christine spent only a short time with us to learn about our concerns and needs, and used that information into an immediate application to open a dossier at the CLSC - the CLSC called us within a few days of our meeting with Christine to formerly open the file. We also asked Christine to look into resources for respite care for those times when I need to be away from home. Within a few days, she sent me an Excel file with information about respite care offered by several organizations, including costs, web site links, and other information. In summary, the services that Christine Baldy provides, which is based on many years as a social worker in the Quebec health care system, is invaluable! I highly recommend contacting her, even if you're not sure what your needs are! She will figure out what you need to lighten your load, and where to find it.”

“Christine did a super job for us in preparing some documents for the federal government. It was daunting in that some of the questions didn't make sense and others were confusing. Christine never gave up but stayed with us until the papers were properly filled out. My wife and I are in our 70's and I don't know how we would have gotten through this without her.”

“Christine Baldry came into our lives during my father's recent health crisis. Amid the tumult of navigating a challenging healthcare system, she provided invaluable guidance that extended beyond clinical expertise. She educated our family on an effective approach with the hospital, ensuring that my father received optimum care while balancing the complexities of healthcare administration. This not only alleviated our concerns but empowered us to make informed decisions, advocating unequivocally for my father’s well-being. Moreover, Christine demonstrated profound insights into the internal decision-making processes of hospitals regarding patient care levels. This transparency was a beacon of light, providing clarity that demystified the intricacies of healthcare provision. It was evident that her advice stemmed from a wealth of experience—an asset that any family will find indispensable. In addition to superior guidance, she recommended an array of resources tailored to aid in my father’s recovery. Every suggestion was underpinned by thoughtful consideration of our unique circumstances, reflecting a person-centered approach to healthcare that is both rare and admirable. The services and support Christine Baldry connected us with were instrumental in my father's recuperation path, a testament to her proactive approach to patient care.”
